In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By the dawn.

وليال عشر
And the ten nights.*

والشفع والوتر
By the even and the odd.*

والليل اذا يسر
By the night as it passes.

هل في ذلك قسم لذي حجر
A profound oath, for one who possesses intelligence.

الم تر كيف فعل ربك بعاد
Have you noted what your Lord did to ‘Aad?

ارم ذات العماد
Erum; the town with tall buildings.
Ayet Numarası: 89.8
Ayet Konusu
التي لم يخلق مثلها في البلاد
There was nothing like it anywhere.

وثمود الذين جابوا الصخر بالواد
Also Thamoud, who carved the rocks in their valley.

وفرعون ذي الاوتاد
And Pharaoh who possessed might.

Ayet Konusu
الذين طغوا في البلاد
They all transgressed in the land.

Ayet Konusu
فاكثروا فيها الفساد
They spread evil throughout.

Ayet Konusu
فصب عليهم ربك سوط عذاب
Consequently, your Lord poured upon them a whipping retribution.

ان ربك لبالمرصاد
Your Lord is ever watchful.
Ayet Numarası: 89.15
Ayet Konusu
فاما الانسان اذا ما ابتلاه ربه فاكرمه ونعمه فيقول ربي اكرمن
When the human being is tested by his Lord, through blessings and joy, he says, “My Lord is generous towards me.”

Ayet Konusu
واما اذا ما ابتلاه فقدر عليه رزقه فيقول ربي اهانن
But if He tests him through reduction in provisions, he says, “My Lord is humiliating me!”

كلا بل لا تكرمون اليتيم
Wrong! It is you who brought it on yourselves by not regarding the orphan.

Ayet Konusu
ولا تحاضون على طعام المسكين
And not advocating charity towards the poor.

Ayet Konusu
وتاكلون التراث اكلا لما
And consuming the inheritance of helpless orphans.

وتحبون المال حبا جما
And loving the money too much.

كلا اذا دكت الارض دكا دكا
Indeed, when the earth is crushed, utterly crushed.

وجاء ربك والملك صفا صفا
And your Lord comes, together with the angels in row after row.

Ayet Konusu
وجيء يومئذ بجهنم يومئذ يتذكر الانسان وانى له الذكرى
On that day, Gehenna will be brought forth. On that day, the human being will remember—but what a remembrance—it will be too late.

Ayet Konusu
يقول يا ليتني قدمت لحياتي
He will say, “Oh, I wish I prepared for my (eternal) life.”

Ayet Konusu
فيومئذ لا يعذب عذابه احد
On that day, no retribution could be worse than His retribution.

Ayet Konusu
ولا يوثق وثاقه احد
And no confinement is as effective as His confinement.

يا ايتها النفس المطمئنة
As for you, O content soul.

ارجعي الى ربك راضية مرضية
Return to your Lord, pleased and pleasing.

فادخلي في عبادي
Welcome into My servants.
Ayet Numarası: 89.30
Ayet Konusu
وادخلي جنتي
Welcome into My Paradise.
